Risk and fees
The risk
- Memecoins can lose all their value in minutes and most do over time. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
- Jelly’s safety checks and vetting look for common traps. A green mark is not a promise, and a coin can change after it was checked.
- Prices move while you confirm. Your trade fills within the slippage you set, and a large trade in a small coin moves the price itself (shown as price impact).
- A limit order holds your SOL in escrow on Solana until it fills, expires or you cancel it.
- Trades cannot be undone by anyone.
Our fee
- Jelly Trading Terminal charges 1% of each trade, taken by Jupiter when the trade settles.
- Jupiter keeps 20% of that fee on market trades. When you trade from a verified creator’s post, a quarter of what remains goes to that creator.
- Limit orders and take profits pay the same 1%, in the coin received.
Other costs
- Solana network fees, usually a fraction of a cent, and a small refundable deposit (“rent”) the first time your wallet holds a new coin or opens an order.
- Buying SOL with a card goes through MoonPay or Coinbase, who charge their own fees.
